Another year another great season skiing in Colorado! I went back to Bivvi Hostel in Breckenridge. I still highly-highly recommend this place. Whether you are traveling solo or with some friends, it’s an amazingly affordable place to stay, the hostel is BEAUTIFUL, and you’re walking distance (or 7 min bus ride for those of you in ski boots) to the Beaver Lift!
This year was my best year here because it was packed full of people. I picked up a bunch of ski buddies, so I was never flying solo. There’s nothing better than all of us standing in line at 7:25 waiting for breakfast to be served right at 7:30 before running out the door for the 8:11 bus! All night we’d be hanging out in the main area by the fireplace talking about the pow we shredded, trees we ran into, and lifts that were open all day. BONUS: wearing a bright pink onesie made me pretty spottable on the mountain so I was constantly running into new friends.
There were a few perfect bluebird days, and some fresh powder! Fast days, tree days, lazy days in the hot tub! I also found Breckenridge’s Troll, which I had never heard about before! It’s a little creepy, but a cute little adventure if you’re in town! This was also a fun year where I ran into three different friends who were also traveling to Colorado to ski the same time I was there. The world is small, and my friends are cool! I also hit Breckenridge Distillery this year. Their Gin was AMAZING!
Thanks for another great season: Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek, and Vail!!
