Christmas Market in Paris

This was a fun little stopover in Paris for about 48 hours. It was a last minute addition to the trip and totally worth a repeat visit to the City of Lights. I was dropping in to visit a friend’s daughter studying abroad. Ahh— nostalgia was in the air! It felt not that long ago that I was hopping around Europe studying aboard.

She showed me around to all her little ‘hole in the wall’ favorite restaurants. But in reality these were nice places. I don’t know if I ever ate at places that nice as a college student. Usually bar food and diners!

While she was in class I took a scooter around the city and ate some crepes, drinking gluhwein to stay warm. Also a few mini bottles of champagne in my purse to drink along the way. ‘The kids’ told me about a cool place to take photos with the Eiffel Tower. I’m really enjoying my LBD photos all over the world!

We strolled around the Christmas Market all day Friday. It was cold enough that it probably would have snowed if there was precipitation. The food stalls were so tempting we ended up grabbing a snack every few feet: French Onion Soup, Scalloped potatoes, macaroons, crepes….The size of the food pots were the biggest I’ve ever seen! We both picked up some Christmas gifts – this is definitely a great way to get in the Christmas mood!
