I was in the middle of a contract change at work and I decided to do a little traveling with our time off. I should have taken a month overseas somewhere but I was too nervous about money! I had never been out west, other than California, so I was excited to see a new state.

When I landed in the Denver airport and walked outside I was stunned. I had NEVER seen mountains that big before. In the distance I could see the snow-topped mountains and I could feel that rush of fresh cold air awaiting me. We did one hike while I was there, hungover. We both were feeling it and sucking wind pretty bad that day. But even with the ‘out of shape’ feeling from the elevation it was beautiful! I had never seen views like that before.

We did the typical 20-something activities: wineries, breweries, went out to eat, went to a concert. Denver is a cool ‘little town’
