Gyeongbokgung Palace

I’ve been determined to see all sorts of Palaces while I’m here. In Europe I went on my Tour of Castles which was cool. After seeing a Palace, I have that ‘you see one, you’ve seen them all’ feeling. It’s not that they aren’t magical and full of history, but it just wasn’t exciting. I’m here for excitement. It was neat learning about the history of it all, it’s like taking a class only better AND you don’t have to write a paper about it.

It must have been such a hard period to live through. When Japan took control of Korea. The palace was burned to the ground and re-built… twice. Other than that, they were simple yet ornate. I was born in the year of the dragon which is a very popular and lucky year to be born!
