Iceland was sort of a last minute bucket-list location. It was also a new country and got me to my 30 by 30! I booked a long weekend for myself. I rented a car with a plan to sleep in the car/outside. It was a bit colder and rainier the whole time than I planned so it didn’t work out so well to sleep in the car. I found a few places to stay though along the way.

I mapped out a bunch of scenic places around the country and drove spot to spot. The glaciers were huge and unlike anything I had ever seen. And the chunks of ice floating in the ocean were the size of cars! One beach was all black sand and black rocks – it was all blackonblackonblack!

There were waterfalls everywhere you turned. Just beautiful in every direction. I stayed in a yurt one of the nights – a giant bubble outside. It was super cool, even if it was raining!
