Underwater Belize

I know I just published the Great Blue Hole post, but I wanted a separate post to talk about the amazingness of the diving in Belize.

We only spent two days diving on our trip, but I could easily see myself returning to Belize for more diving. First of all, the water was warm. I wore a shortie for most of the dives and even had my first dive without any wet suit which was super cool!

Every single dive and snorkel we did during those two days was incredible. The boats were nice, the dive masters were great, the conditions were great.

This was also the first set of dives where I was able to go in between reefs and caves and tighter spaces. I’ve done a little bit of this before but not as consistently as I did though these dives.

Our last dive was the BEST dive – we were down in a channel – the first bit of it we could have stood up and breathed, I was a little nervous about what we were going to see but when we got down into the channel, the water was still warm, it was crystal clear, and it was bright with SO MANY COLORS. We saw a manatee, sharks, a turtle, eels… I’m still digging through all the amazing insta360 footage but I’ll keep adding it to youtube as I get through it!
