Is Brno real?

I can not wait for this weekends trip! It’s going to be quite the adventure! I woke up and laid in bed for half an hour. I was enjoying how comfortable I was and knew I probably wouldn’t be for the next few days.

Walking to the tube station I realized how much I really enjoy London in the morning (but also in general). It’s cool and crisp, but the sun warms my cheeks. It even smells nice, like the world hasn’t been corrupted by the evils of the day yet. You’d think this calm, serene feeling of the morning would be enough to get me out of bed earlier every day…. But no. It’s special when it happens.

As the plane touches down, we realize it’s pitch dark out and we have absolutely no clue where we are going. So yes, Brno really does exist. It said it in big blue letters when we were walking from the plane to the airport. Too bad that was pretty much all I could read. The airport was super tiny and there was no metro to take us anywhere. Or signs. It was the first time since Brussels I felt truly lost. I took out 1000kcs ( no idea how much that is worth) and went out in search of a bus. We jumped off at a stop that seemed bright and happening. We were lost but somehow felt like we were still in the right place. We walked into this underground station and it was kind of like a mini-mall. There was this beautiful building that caught our eyes…. It was the train station! Perfect. If there’s one thing I’m learning there are certain things in every city and the main train station means you’re in the right place!

We walked inside and there was a train leaving for Budapest in a few hours and we arrive at 0700. SOLD! Now we can sleep the whole time on the train and when we get there enjoy breakfast and coffee in the city.

We had a few hours to roam around the city. A few places were open. It was so pretty walking around in the cold at night in the winter, Christmas lights up. We walked through all the side streets, cobblestones, cute lights, Christmas arches. And then, we were sitting on the sidewalk eating the snacks and candy we collected from the few stores that were open waiting for our train to take off.
